Who is responsible
Metoda LLC, 1231 Service Dr, Gardnerville, NV 89410, USA. Contact: through our contact page.
What we collect
Your email address, name, postal address, phone number and, if you buy for a company, the company name and registration number; the domains you search for and order; and technical data needed to run the site (IP address, browser session). If you turn on two-step sign-in, we also keep the key for your authenticator app (encrypted) and one-way hashes of your backup codes.
Signing in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google tells us your name, your email address (confirmed by Google) and an ID of your Google account. We use them only to create your account and sign you in; we do not get your Google password or any other Google data.
Why
To register and renew your domains, to run your account and hosting, to send you messages about your orders, and to prevent fraud. Every domain registration requires the registrant's contact details by the rules of the registry. The owner details are required to register a domain; without them we cannot register it.
Who receives it
The registrar and registry of each domain you register, as every registration requires (for generic domains, the registrar also deposits the registration data with an escrow agent, as ICANN requires); Stripe and PayPal, for payments — card and bank account data and PayPal or Venmo logins go directly to them and never reach our servers (Bitcoin and USDC payments go over public blockchains to our Coinbase wallet; we do not send your details to Coinbase); and Metoda d.o.o., Belgrade, Serbia, which runs our servers in Belgrade for orders, email and hosting on our behalf. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.
Public registration data
Registries and registrars publish some registration data in their public lookup services (RDAP, WHOIS). For generic extensions (.com, .net, .org, .app, .dev, .xyz and the other generic extensions we offer) your name, street address, phone and email are not published; the country and an organization name you enter may be shown. Country-code extensions (.io, .co, .me, .rs, .si, .ba) follow the rules of their own registry.
Emails we send
Only messages about your account, payments, registrations and the expiry of your domains. No newsletters or advertising.
How long
For as long as you have an account or domains with us, and afterwards only as long as accounting and legal rules require.
Your choices
You can see and correct your details in your account at any time; changes apply to new registrations. To update the owner of an existing domain, to get a copy of your data or to have it deleted, write to us through the contact page. Deleting the registrant data of an active domain is not possible while the domain is registered.
Nevada residents
We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. You may still send a request not to sell it through the contact page, and we will confirm it.
Cookies and Do Not Track
Two cookies, both only for this site: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms (set when you sign in, sign up
or check out, and deleted when you close the browser), and dm_known, which remembers for one year that this browser has
signed in before, so we offer “Sign in” instead of “Create account”. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and do not follow you across other sites, so the
site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Stripe's payment page uses its own cookies for payment
security.
Children
The service is meant for adults who can enter into a contract. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date and email account holders about important changes.
