Legal
Terms of Service.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are between you and Metoda LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, 1231 Service Dr, Gardnerville, NV 89410, USA ("Metoda", "we"). They apply to your account on www.metodai.com, to domain registration and renewal ordered there, and to the free hosting that comes with a domain.
2. Your account
You need an account to order a domain. You can create it with your email address and a password or with your Google account. It holds your domains, the owner (registrant) details and the transfer codes. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done in your account. If you think someone else has used it, reset your password and write to us. You can close the account by contacting us through the contact page once its domains have been transferred away or have expired.
API keys and AI assistants. Programs and AI assistants can act for your account through our API or MCP server with an API key: one you create in your account, or one an assistant gets when you give it the 6-digit sign-in code we email you (giving the code to an assistant is your consent; for a new email it also creates the account under these terms). With a key they can check domains, set the owner details, place orders, read your domains and change nameservers (keys you create yourself only if you allow it). Orders placed with your key are your orders under these terms, registered with the owner details of your account. They are paid either by you on Stripe's payment page or, if you save a card for AI payments, with that card without asking you each time — never more in a calendar month than the monthly limit you choose; only you can raise it, and you can lower it, pause it or remove the card at any time. We email you after every such payment. Keep your keys secret and revoke any key you no longer trust; you are responsible for what is done with a key until you revoke it.
3. Registration
Metoda LLC is a reseller and is not itself an ICANN-accredited registrar. Domains are registered through Realtime Register B.V., an ICANN-accredited registrar (IANA ID 839); .rs domains are registered through a registrar accredited by RNIDS, the .rs registry. Generic domains (.com, .net, .org and other gTLDs) follow ICANN policies. Country-code domains (such as .io, .co, .me, .si, .ba and the .rs family) follow the rules of their own registry. By registering you also accept the registration rules of the registry and of the registrar for that extension; we send you the registrar's terms on request.
A domain is only yours once the registry confirms it — until then someone else can register it first.
4. Your duties as the registrant
You are the registrant (owner) of the domain. By registering, you agree that:
- you give accurate and reliable contact details and correct them within 7 days of any change. Giving false details on purpose, not updating them, or not answering within 15 days when the registrar or we ask about their accuracy is a material breach of these terms and a reason to suspend or cancel the domain;
- the registrar may ask you to confirm your email address after a registration or a change of details; a domain whose address is not confirmed within 15 days can be suspended until it is;
- if you let someone else use the domain, you remain the registrant and are responsible for it. You accept liability for harm caused by its wrongful use unless, within 7 days, you disclose the user's identity and contact details to a party that gives you reasonable evidence of actionable harm;
- if you give personal data of another person (for example as a contact), you have told them about it and have their consent;
- to the best of your knowledge, neither the registration nor the use of the domain infringes the rights of anyone else;
- the domain can be suspended, cancelled or transferred under ICANN or registry policy, to correct a mistake by the registrar or the registry, or to resolve a dispute about it;
- for disputes about the use of the domain name, you accept the jurisdiction of the courts of your domicile and of the place where the registrar is located;
- you indemnify and hold harmless the registry, the registrar and Metoda, and their directors, officers, employees and agents, from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your registration.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars per year and are shown before you pay; checkout shows one total, with no taxes or fees added. Payment is made by card or from a US bank account (ACH) through Stripe, with PayPal or Venmo through PayPal, or in Bitcoin or USDC, and is charged by Metoda LLC; a card payment shows on your statement as METODA.RS* METODAI.COM. A Bitcoin payment must be the exact amount shown at checkout, sent in one payment; the amount is valid for 60 minutes and you pay the network fee. We send the order to the registry once the payment is confirmed on the Bitcoin network (usually 10–60 minutes). A Bitcoin payment that is refunded is returned in Bitcoin, for the US dollar amount of the order, to an address you give us. A USDC payment must likewise be the exact amount shown, sent on the network you chose (Solana or Ethereum); the amount is valid for 24 hours, you pay the network fee, and a refund is returned in USDC to an address you give us. USDC sent on another network or as another token may be lost. A bank (ACH) payment takes about four business days to clear. We send the order to the registry only after the money arrives, so a name can be taken by someone else in the meantime — then we refund the payment in full. Registration and renewal cost the same in our price list. When a registry changes its own fee, our price changes for everyone; we announce it on the price list beforehand, and the price shown at checkout is the one you pay.
6. Orders, delivery and cancellation
An order is accepted when the payment is confirmed. We then send it to the registry right away; most registrations and renewals finish within minutes, and we email you when they are done. If a paid domain cannot be registered — for example because someone else took it a moment earlier, or the registry refuses it — we refund that domain in full to your card, bank account or PayPal account, or in Bitcoin or USDC. A checkout that is not paid expires and nothing is charged. Once a domain is registered or renewed, the order cannot be cancelled.
7. Renewal and expiry
A domain renews automatically only if you turn on auto-renew for it on the domain page in your account; it is off until you do. With auto-renew on, about 30 days before the expiry date we renew the domain for one year and charge your saved card the renewal price in our price list on that day. We email you about a week before each renewal and after it. If the card is declined, nothing is charged, we email you and try again a few times; the domain is then renewed only if a payment succeeds before the expiry date. You can turn auto-renew off at any time on the domain page; removing your saved card also turns it off. A renewal is not refunded once the registry has extended the domain.
Without auto-renew, renew before the expiry date on the domain page in your account. We email the address on your account about 30 days and 7 days before the expiry date and once after it.
A domain that is not renewed by its expiry date is deleted by the registrar and stops working. It then spends a period, usually about 30 days, in the registry's redemption period. Only you can get it back then, for the restore fee in our price list plus one year of renewal. After that it is released and anyone can register it. For .rs and .ba domains the registry's own rules apply. See also ICANN's Expired Registration Recovery Policy.
8. Refunds
If a paid registration or renewal cannot be completed, we refund the full amount. Once a domain is registered or renewed, registry fees cannot be returned and the payment is not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use a domain or the hosting for unlawful activity, spam, phishing, malware or content that infringes the rights of others. We may suspend a domain or hosting when a registry, registrar or authority requires it, or when it is used in breach of this section.
10. Your rights as a registrant
For international domains, ICANN describes your rights and duties in Registrants' Benefits and Responsibilities and in its Registrant Educational Materials. Disputes about who may hold a generic domain name are decided under ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP); country-code domains follow the dispute policy of their registry.
11. Free hosting
Free web hosting (FTP, PHP, PostgreSQL and SSL) is included for a domain while it is registered with us and uses our nameservers. It runs on our servers in Europe, and is meant for personal and small business websites. It ends when the domain expires or is transferred away; keep your own copy of your website. We may limit or suspend hosting that harms other customers or breaks section 9.
12. Transfers
You may transfer your domain to another registrar under the rules of its registry. Get the transfer code on the domain page in your account; for .rs domains, RNIDS sends it to the domain's administrative contact. You can turn the transfer lock on or off on the same page. ICANN's Transfer Policy and registry rules can block a transfer for a period after a registration, a previous transfer or a change of registrant.
13. Data
We keep your account details and order history. Your registrant details are sent to the registrar and the registry, as every registration requires. Card and bank account data are handled by Stripe, and PayPal and Venmo logins by PayPal; they never reach our servers. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
14. Liability
The service is provided as is. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected domain in the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we post the new version here with a new date and email account holders about important changes. Orders already paid follow the terms in force when they were paid.
16. Contact
Use the contact page or reply to any email we send you.
17. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, except where section 4 or the law of your country gives you another court or protection.
